10th Biennial Reunion Schedule of Events

Hospitality Room
After hotel check in and once you've settled in, proceed to the hospitality room for membership registration and receive your welcome packet.
The room will be open daily 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM. Refreshments of coffee, beer, wine, soda, water, & snacks will be available.
Registration
There will be a $25 registration fee when registering for the reunion and Banquet. This charge is to cover the association’s expense for the reunion and you will be posted to the association roster as a paid member for 2025. Those members who have paid their current membership dues will not be charged a registration fee.

Group bus tour of Arlington Cemetery; 9:30 am - Board bus. 10:00 am - Bus departs 6:00 pm - Food 7:00 pm: - Biennial meeting of officers, directors, and general membership. Treasurers report, Election of officers, pick location for next reunion and open discussions. |

Select places to visit of your choice. 4:30pm - 5:30 pm Picture taking of Officers, Directors, Units (directors responsible for gartering personnel). 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm Social hour. 6:30 pm - 6:45 pm Take your seats. 6:45 pm - 7:00 pm Presentation of the flags followed by the National Anthem.. 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Invocation and dinner. 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm Welcome by President Tom Myles followed by guest speaker. Guest Speaker: Dr Erik Villard U.S. Army Principle Historian for Vietnam War After dinner and the speaker there will be a memorial remembering all those who have passed away while in service of the 14th Transportation Battalion in Vietnam. Their names will be read followed by the ring of a bell. |

I am a military historian who specializes in the Vietnam War and digital humanities.
Work Experience
Digital Military Historian, U.S. Army Center of Military History, Fort McNair, D.C.
July 2000 to present.
Wrote a volume of the US Army combat operations in the Vietnam
War series titled “Staying the Course: Oct 67 to Sep 68”, published in Dec 2017.
Wrote a volume of the US Army combat operations in the Vietnam War series titled “Fighting for Time: Oct 68 to Dec 69” to be published in 2026.
Deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 and to Kuwait in 2014 for field history assignments.

Served as a historical consultant or advisor to the New York Historical Society, to Ken Burns and Lynn Novick for their Vietnam War series, VIETNAM magazine, the Vietnam Wall Memorial Foundation podcast, and the National Medal of Honor Museum.
Appeared on more than two dozen different podcasts including two episodes of Radiolab to talk about the Vietnam War or military history.
Given public talks about the Vietnam War at the National Archives, DC think tanks, the Marine Corps University, and numerous veteran association reunions.
